Very HUMBLE Beginings
Born in a small western Colorado town and riding solo by age 2 1/2 (Yes, true story so stay tuned). BL learned to ride the steepest trails in the nation. At 9 years of age was trusted to ride in a 3 day/over night roundup of wild horses and the oldest on the ride was 12 years of age. BL worked in the orchards, picked rocks and shoveled many a ditch, learned to drive a tractor by 5 years old and disking with a D 2 dozer by 11. Worked in the oil field "when the west was wild" pioneered roads with a D-8 cat, worked at a coal mine, cowboyed, broken many bones (BLs nose to many times) shot and cut with a knife, had months of skin grafts, fought in bars, played pool and even skied in semi-pro events. Later worked in a large feedlot, managed a cattle ranch, and became the National Manager for a tractor manufacture. Operated an organic cherry orchard and honed roping skills while winning saddles and even a new truck. Also had the privilege and honor of taking care of Developmentally Disabled Adults.
I moved back to Colorado in 2022 and help with the Still Water Cowboy Church's roping program in Fruita
